Audi Q7 – Interior and illuminated glass roof
The interior design consistently continues the geometric connection between the dashboard and doors, thereby emphasizing the focus on precision. Reduced lines and clearly defined surfaces create a sense of order and focus. Details like the air vents are intentionally understated but represent a functional highlight due to their electric-dynamic adjustability via the user interface. The interior impresses with its clean design, providing space for any occasion. Fully focused on its passengers, the Q7 combines these attributes down to the finest detail.
The Interior: Generous and Versatile
The optional sport seats plus enhance the seat design's premium feel in the Q7 with light elements positioned below the headrests. These lights illuminate when locking or unlocking the vehicle and are clearly visible from the outside. The front doors optionally feature a light source integrated into the trim. The contour lighting embedded in the dashboard and doors accentuates the width of the interior. Indirect lighting below the Audi MMI panoramic display and in the center console creates a floating optical effect. Additionally, the standard dynamic interaction light (IAL), a continuous LED light strip extending across the entire width of the dashboard, supports the interaction between passengers and the vehicle.
The IAL further enhances the interior atmosphere, offering features like a welcome function or visualizing the locking and unlocking process. It also boosts safety: for instance, turn signals are displayed in the interior, enhancing the Audi Virtual Cockpit's indication. Importantly, the IAL always remains an auxiliary display. To offer customers greater customization, numerous color and material combinations are available for the Q7. The expansive surfaces serve as the ideal stage to showcase the materials effectively, all while reflecting an uncompromising dedication to quality, visible even in the fine stitching details.
The seats feature a new color option, Stone Beige, as well as Tamarind Brown and Pastel Silver. The optional premium textile package introduces an innovative material combination of Alpaca fabric and genuine leather available in Nature Beige and Stone Beige. Door inner panels and the underside of the dashboard are also finished in Alpaca fabric. Surrounding decorative inlays lend the Q7 an exclusive, cozy atmosphere. New decorative options include Eschenmaser Silk Beige Natural Finish, Lindenwood Textured Gray-Brown Natural Finish, and Carbon Textured Weave with Basalt Gray Accents. Additionally, Audi exclusive offers extensive options for customizing the Q7, with ten more colors, complementary stitching tones, and preconfigured design packages enriching the portfolio.
The New Panoramic Sunroof: Bright and Spacious
With the third generation of the Q7, Audi places special emphasis on the large panoramic sunroof. The impressive light influx into the interior promotes the airy spatial feeling for all three rows and enhances the well-being of passengers. A newly developed kinematic system enables a slimmer roof design, providing additional headroom at the front and rear. Optional features include adjustable transparency and, for the first time, lighting integrated into the glass roof, which adapts its color to the selected ambient lighting settings. The roof can be adjusted between transparent and opaque in nine segments. When the Q7 is parked, the roof automatically switches to opaque to prevent external views, returning to the last setting upon restart.
A pattern on the glass panels, combined with 78 LEDs, creates pleasant illumination in the vehicle's interior. Adjustable transparency allows for a swift transition between a bright, light-filled cabin and effective glare protection. The standard coated laminated glass reflects infrared radiation and blocks over 99.5% of UV radiation, eliminating the need for a classic sunshade. An integrated wind deflector reduces wind noise when the roof is open. The panoramic sunroof can be operated via a button in the roof module or through the MMI system.
